About Us

Our history is a stories one! In 1991, ICS was started out of a garage in Forest, Virginia. It was the early days of business software. You walked in the door and the software sold itself, but it was really hard to make software work reliably. The big names in the accounting space were Sage, Best and MAS.

In 1992, we introduced our fully automated petroleum accounting and delivery system. Companies delivered the product, and our software did the rest. This included paying the states, city, and county the their sales tax for each delivery and predicting consumers fuel consumption. Consumer had their tanks filled up before they even realized they were running low.

In the mid 1990s, we continued making truly custom and game changing software. Our best selling software was our guaranteed 99.99% uptime point of sale software for university book stores. University book stores make the majority of their money in just a few weeks, and they could not afford any unreliability during those times. The software was developed in partnership with MIT graduates living in China. They created the back bone to deal with constant power outages common to China at that time.

In the early 2000’s our main focus was on premise deployments of tailored accounting and inventory software for business of all shapes and sizes. We worked with logistics companies, motor oil manufacturers and distributors, air-conditioning and refrigeration installation companies, copper pipe whole salers and many more. As cloud computing supplanted on premise deployments, we continued to refine and use our knowledge of this space. For companies truly passionate about security and control of intellectual property, we continue to provide custom on premise deployments.

By 2010 most of out business was based on software deployment through the cloud ecosystem. We continue this to help transition companies onto the cloud.

With the rise of machine learning, we expanded our offerings to include extensive data engineering overhauls to support data pipelines and distributed processing. We also gained experience in the computer vision and natural language processing domains.
